Cleaning Your Appliances: Rejuvenating Your Refrigerator

First, empty the refrigerator and wipe down shelves and drawers. Then, you can use a damp cloth and mild detergent to clean the interior and exterior of the fridge.

Make sure to use the correct cleaner for the material; for stainless steel, use a cloth with a gentle stainless steel polish. Once this is complete, turn the fridge off, unplug it and leave the door open to let it air out and dry.

Finally, vacuum the condenser coils on the back of the refrigerator to help prolong the life of your appliance.

Washing Machine Cleaning Strategies

The most crucial step in washing machine cleaning strategies is ensuring that the washtub is emptied and wiped down after every use. This will help to prevent a build-up of dirt and detergent which can clog up the appliance. Empty the washtub of any remaining water after a cycle is complete.

Once the washtub is empty, use a gentle cleaner of your choice to clean it, and also regularly check and remove any debris that may accumulate in the filter or reservoir. When it’s time for a deep clean, use a laundry sanitizer to remove lingering bacteria and odors in the machine.

Cleaning Your Dishwasher Like A Pro

Begin by cleaning the outside of your dishwasher, using a soft cloth to remove stubborn stains. Then, empty the dishwasher and remove any food scraps and dishes. Use a baking soda and water mixture to scrub away the residues, rinsing thoroughly afterward.

Next, fill the dishwasher with hot water and white vinegar, and run the dishwasher on a hot cycle. Finally, use a clean cloth and dish soap to wipe down the inside of the dishwasher, and leave the door open to ensure it is scorched afterward.

Keeping Oven Sparkling Clean

Begin by completely emptying the oven of all racks and trays. Next, mix a cleaning solution of ¼ cup of baking soda and ¼ cup of water. Apply the paste to the surface of the oven’s inside and sit for five to ten minutes. Using a wet cloth, wipe down the range and wipe away all the mixture.

Use a dry cloth to dry off and remove any remaining moisture altogether. Be sure not to use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals with the cleaning solution, or your oven may be damaged.

Finally, replace the oven racks and trays, give the inside and outside of the range a final cleaning with a dry cloth, and your appliance is ready to go.
